The Transformation is Complete

I confirmed last night that I am officially a roadie. The realization came halfway into the first lap of the Buck Hill Thursday Night race. As I struggled to hold Brendan Moore in sight in the singletrack, I realized he wasn't going to let up anytime soon. And I just about clipped a tree and slid out due to lack of traction. By the second lap I was being dropped and my body was blowing up. I used to remember being able to easily win these races, but now it wasn't even easy to ride in 5th. By the last lap I'd started to figure it out a bit and rode a decent lap. I decided I'm going back next week. In the end, it was a lot of fun, I'm just feeling old and rusty.
